Ved\u00faca magistersk\u00e9ho \u0161tudijn\u00e9ho programu Tlmo\u010dn\u00edctvo a Eur\u00f3pskeho kurzu konferen\u010dn\u00e9ho tlmo\u010denia (EMCI). Je tie\u017e absolventkou \u00dastavu translatol\u00f3gie Filozofickej fakulty Univerzity Karlovej, kde vy\u0161tudovala \u010desk\u00fd, franc\u00fazsky a rusk\u00fd jazyk (1978). Z\u00edskala titul PhDr. (1980, Praha) a CSc.\/PhD. (1986, Praha), oboje v oblasti te\u00f3rie tlmo\u010denia. Vedeck\u00fa pr\u00e1cu v odbore translatol\u00f3gia obhajovala v roku 1993 a v tom istom vednom odbore sa v roku 2008 stala profesorkou.
